reasons in fact i am feeling quite good today

one very special reason of course is because

it is the end of the week yes we have made it all the way to

the final day of the week the weekend is just around the corner because

it's friday

another reason why i'm feeling happy today is because

my little tongue is getting better if you've been following the saga of my

ulcer i've had a huge ulcer on the end of my tongue for the past for

the past seven days in fact but

guess what it's almost gone the pain has almost vanished i'm feeling

much better much more comfortable i actually bought

some stuff yesterday i went into town

yesterday night and i decided to buy some very useful

medicine that i put on my tongue

so after sleeping overnight having a lovely sleep and then this morning i

woke up and the first thing i noticed is there was no pain my tongue is

feeling a lot better so thank you very much for all of your lovely messages

saying mr duncan use salt in water mr duncan use cotton wool

mr duncan use certain types of herbs

so there are many ways of getting rid of pain in your mouth

in fact i didn't realize that there were so many

to be honest here we go again we are live on a friday yes my name is

first of all it is a very big class all around the world and

i am also a little bit different as well so this is not your average

unusual words to look at also we have the sentence game yes another

round or maybe six rounds

maybe seven rounds if we have time seven maybe eight maybe ten maybe a

hundred rounds of the sentence game

and today we are looking for the letter i i

for identify i for incredible

i for idiot you might actually call me an

idiot today because i've done something really

stupid have you ever done anything really

stupid we all do it to er is human to forgive

divine as they say but i have done something

really stupid and it concerns something that i've

actually bought for the studio now as you may have heard or noticed

over the past few days i have been making some changes in the studio

i had a lovely big clean in the studio i decided to clean everything out

and i also decided to add some new equipment

in the studio as well to help with the lighting not only inside but also

outside as well so i decided dear i'm so embarrassed i can't begin to

tell you how embarrassed i feel by this i wanted to order something called

a light reflector it is a piece of plastic and it can be used in many

different ways and i use them quite often in the studio

when i want to shine light on myself i will often use

these pieces of equipment so they are basically large pieces of cloth

that can be used in different ways sometimes you can reflect

the light sometimes you can also diffuse the light which is what i use

them for most of the time here is the stupid

thing this is the stupid thing that i did

sometimes i get very confused by things and here is a very good example

i ordered a large reflector a large

diffuser i will show you in a moment how it's actually used

and i wanted the diffuser to be 40 inches

wide 40 inches so that's quite large actually 40 inches it is big 40 inches

i'm so embarrassed unfortunately i clicked the wrong thing

instead of 40 inches i actually clicked 40 centimeters

which is very different so instead of something

large instead of something very useful that i can use in the studio

this is what i ended up with

so this actually should be much larger unfortunately

i accidentally clicked on the wrong size so this is much smaller than what i

wanted it should be much larger than this and

as you can see it is a very useful piece of equipment you often see these

on film sets or tv sets and quite often they are used

to reflect light so if you have a lot of light

coming from one direction you can use this

to direct light onto the person it doesn't work very well in here

because there isn't any strong light only from over there but you can see you

can see how well that reflects the light so this is often

used outside and they come in all sorts of sizes

however the one i wanted was much larger but i clicked on the wrong size so

instead of 40 inches i clicked

40 centimeters which is this however the story

is not a bad story because i've decided to keep this

anyway because i've realized that this will be very useful

when i'm doing my live streams in town so when i'm in town doing my live

streams this will be very useful so there it is you see you can see

you can see that that is actually reflecting light

onto me so that is very useful a very useful thing

and it's often used in photography or videography when people are outside so

you can control the light there it is you can see it is

reflecting on me however this particular thing

is very clever because it has more than one use

you can actually do this you see so if i take this off

suddenly you have something called a diffuser so you can

shine light right through this and it will

diffuse the light and that is what i use here in

the studio but i only have one of them so i wanted

to buy another one to have on the other side of the studio

unfortunately i got the wrong size but actually this will be very useful

so i will have some use for this also amazingly you can also

turn this inside out and it can be used in another way as

well incredible i love this so much

so if you turn it round you can actually use it the other way

and you have gold facing towards you which gives you a much nicer light you

see you get a much warmer light from it

and if you want to reflect white light you can also use this as well

this in cinematography and photography is called the bounce

board bounce board and that will bounce back the white

light very different from this

very different from this particular thing because this is very reflective

so this will direct a lot more light back

so that is my stupid mistake the stupid thing i did today i

ordered the wrong size however there is a happy ending to this story

because i've decided to keep this i've realized that this will come in

very useful when i am outside when i'm outside

doing my live streams and maybe i need a little bit of extra sunlight on my face

so i can use this to give me a little bit more light like that

very nice so even though i made a mistake

the story does have a happy ending so now you know yes

these things are used in the movie industry

definitely yes quite often you will see them used

on movie sets and also on television sets as well studio sets

like this one for example so lighting is something that is very

important in cinematography and photography

you always need a lot of light and most importantly quite often you will

need even light so you don't want too many shadows

as we all know shadows can make you look much older and sometimes you can have

shadows that are not really there so you have to

be very careful with lighting lighting is one of the most important

parts of taking photographs and also filming

and finally something that i never do something that i never find myself doing

being down or being on a downer or maybe you are

a downer a person can be described as a downer a person who is depressed

and they often talk about gloomy or glum things maybe they are

moody maybe they go to a party and they sit in

the corner of the room looking unhappy all night

someone might go up to them and say oh don't be such a downer

downer a person who is miserable sullen unhappy they are

being a downer to become unhappy of course it's normal

to be unhappy you can't be happy every day

it's almost impossible even i find it hard to be happy every day

and some people say i'm happy all the time so i hope you enjoyed

even though you've already made the deal even though you've already said

to the person selling the house that you want it

and maybe they accept your offer someone else comes along

and they make a better offer they gazump you they outbid

your offer they make a higher offer and this is something that used to be

around quite a lot during the 1980s and also

certain parts of the 1990s and it might come back again

after all of this craziness has come to an end

maybe there will be a lot of people gazumping

as they try to get the house of their dreams

so we will see what happens i believe the word comes from yiddish

offer gazump quite often used in british english

so when you are trying to buy a house and maybe you put an offer in for the
